Logan Blomquist, a sixth-year competitor at Southeast Missouri State, became the first student-athlete in program history to win an NCAA title in any event with personal-best performance of 240-8 (73.37m) in the sixth at the Division 1 final at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. Blomquist was making his first appearance at the Division 1 championship meet since placing 24th in the hammer throw at the 2019 final in Austin, Texas.
